Howzt.

I have installed Nissan 280ZX struts with affixed calipers and rotors in my 180B. What would be the best Master Cylinder available to mate with the (74) 180B brake booster?

I thought about the ZX master, but I was told it does not fit the booster? Some advice is appreciated.

Cheers.

Howzt.

I will get a photo of the booster this week. About the 240K master, where could I get one if needed?

Cheers.

You can get them from any good parts supplier. PBR still make them. I got mine from Bursons for $108.

Is it a decent improvement upon the 200B master?

Yep a bigger bore. Will depend on what brakes you are running though.

200b master should still be fine. You might find you have a bees D!ck more travel. I'd leave it be. When/if it fails put a 240k master in. I though 200b's had a different bolt pattern to 180b though?

You may be right. The 200B master is alright. For some reason when I first fitted the calipers I had next to no breaks, so I ordered new lines and rebuild kits for the calipers. With a bit of driving they seem to be much better. Still lots of travel in the pedal though, other than that they are pretty much the same as my old girlocks were.

I will post some photos for my findings. From what I hear, the 200B is ok, but the 240K would be a better choice. Am I right?

Hi.

Info is already here. This is a Datsun 610/180B. Struts, rotors and calipers are 280ZX. The rest of the info has been supplied by other members in regard to master cylinder options.

I live in Redondo Beach, California. We never got what is known as Datsun 200B, which seems to be a short nose version of what was sold here as a Datsun 810, 6 cylinder motor and a longer nose section to accomodate it in an otherwise 200B body.
The other brake master cylinder in question, the 240K, belongs to another car we never saw on this side of the planet. Reason why before purchasing one brake master cylinder from down under, I got to make sure it will be the best option.

If I can not fit the ZX mater cylinder, then I will look into a 200B unit. But from the comments I inferr the 240K is a better option. I have no experience with either a 200B master cylinder nor a 240K unit. Perhaps the brake booster in a US 610 is different than the 180B in Oz.

Cheers.

Made a correction, I wrote..." If I can not fit the ZX caliper". I meant Master cylinder, not caliper.

Hence the need to see a pic
No point suggesting parts for cars that are unobtainable locally
You asked about master cylinders but provided pics of struts.... thats of no use to anyone
Good luck with your search
