I have a 82 Stanza (Aussie model) and wondering if there is a direct bolt on vented brake upgrade with out the need of machining rotors, making caliper brackets, or swapping struts over?
The car also has the Borg Warner diff in it and is there a rear disc set up that will fit straight on?

I doubt there's a direct bolt on upgrade for the front.

See if you can get Bluebird TRX discs on the rear.

To do TRX rear disc set up you need a H165 diff/rear axle assembly--I'd do it anyway as the BW diffs are total crap. Fronts because their Aussie are hard to match up best option is early Jap struts with Crapadore calipers and Verarda rotors but this does require a bit of work as well as 14/15" wheels.
Hopefully someone may know of a direct upgrade to the aussie struts.
Regards Pete

Would 240K calipers go on the front?

If they did, they'd be pretty good brakes, as they are meant for a much heavier car.

I have a set of spare R30 skyline calipers if youre interested to test-fit. they have a very very similar structure to the R31 skyline, but no vents/cooling fins, and are a bit smaller i think. they are possibly the same as the 240k. also the 280zx may be an option too (you cant have the brakes of that though... my precioussss)

Can't you just swap the struts over completely on the stanza's? To 200b items or 240k?
That'd give you better breaking straight away and be easier i'd imagine.

I was curious if there was something with out have to remove struts, a simple bolt on up grade but might just leave them standard.

MAG86, are you talkin Rear calipers or not? 280Z and MR30 skyline rear calipers are the same to the best of my knowledge. I know the rotors are the same and the calipers look identical. If you are talking fronts then they are not like 240k at all. 240k are twin spots. I have a set of mr30 skyline struts with calipers and rotors if yr interested. Going very cheap PM me if interested.

I have some R31 skyline caliper backing plates which have been machined to bolt onto a stanza borg warner diff and a set of BMW 4 spots with ventilated discs which would bolt onto your struts.

PM me if you are interested

What BMW is the 4 spot calipers that bolts onto stanza strut from? Is the ventilated disc also from the same BMW?

Any mods on them?

I'd say that at the very least the discs have been drilled to fit the standard datsun stud pattern.

For the front, XF PBR falcon calipers bolt onto a stanza oz strut. Verada rotors will fit but that is a machine job, you can get them new undrilled and not skimmed on the surface that the hub bolts to.
