7/8" is from a 240K. But the one I got isn't a bolt on job to the 180B booster. I've been meaning to research it further as there has to be one that bolts up. The one I got is longer in the nose (before the flange) and won't fit back inside the booster. I got a spacer knocked up, but then the damn studs in the booster are too short. To replace the studs means opening the can... exspensive. I have a solution, but I'm not a big fan of it and I doubt an engineer would look at it favourably.
So, yeah, be interested to see what you find out.

both look 180b, boosters to suit SSS model with su's probably have different vacc tube locations.
Mine is like yours with the tube out horizontal on the booster and i removed it that from my mates SSS 180B...

There was mention of machining the spacer out to make the M/Cyl fit, I was told that's not a good idea as that spacer is holding the front seal on the booster in ?
The circlip is further from the end on the 7/8" than it is on standard, so it may go close to fitting if you took the end of the 7/8" cyl and spun out the spacer/adaptor.

I got mine out of a C series skyline, bought a rebuild kit for it and works fine, DS have 7/8 brand new for real cheap and you can even buy the kit with the reco booster and all.

I have reconed & modified 180B/120Y boosters with 7/8 master cylinders
for over 30 years.
Must have done 1000s.
Its just a minor job to do.
Adjusting the booster is the tricky bit.
The adaptor does not retain the booster & no mods to circlips if using the correct master cyl.
You have had bad info.

Fair enough. So the question still remains as to which M/Cyl to use. From one of the posts 1600dave had a JB1133 7/8" M/Cyl and it didn't fit the booster ? Anyone got a part number that's known to work ?

I got mine off the C110 Skyline and just had to get the adapter plate between the booster and MC otherwise it wouldn't go in, the 180B slamm can booster has some lil lip that needs to be machined but since I was in a hurry I went back to the wreckers and got the little adapter and it all went in like a dream!!!

I have the JB1133 opened up the the alloy adapter and master bolted straight on. Have done multiple stops from 200+km's and I'm still alive and brakes are working farken great. End of story :)

couple of minutes with a rat tail or 1/4 round file would have done the job.
