Hey Guys,

I know many 180B owners go through the same thing of trying to find the correct clips for the chrome trims just bellow the windows, the original clips always seem to break or dissintegrate when the trims are taken off and thus it is a pain in the neck trying to find some replacements to put the trims back on.

Well I went through this when I had the B painted drove round with holes on my door till I found this place :!: : http://www.rageem.com.au/

The part number you need is: 146-0162 They basically look like the pic attached, and I have also attached a pic as reference so you know which trims I'm talking about, don't ask about price since I was lucky enough to get mine as a sample but doubt they would cost a lot????

Basically all you have to do with the clips is push the round bit in the hole already drilled on the body and then push the little pin in the middle of the fastener, prety much like a rivet but instead of pulling you have to push.

I don't know if this would help other Datsun owners????

Hope this gets moved to the FAQs section

Ps: been meaning to post this up since way way back but had forgotten till a fellow 610 owner asked about them.

Alex

Rare spares has the "belts". ( the rubber seals on the external side of the moulding that is located on the lower side of the side glass on 180B cars.) These belts cover the space between the glass and the door molding to parry water and dirt from entering the inside of the door .

I do not know if Nissan of Australia still has those parts available, if that is the case, let me know.

Meanwhile I am purchasing a set from Rare Spares ( external "belts" ) I will post photos when the items arrive.

Yes, nice information. Anybody knows where to get the clips for the lower rocker panel trim? The long stainless trim running between front and rear wheels?

Cheers.

I got a set of the clips for the window trims brand new from Nissan last year. Weren't cheap @ a few bucks each though :chaching: .

I'll grab the part number tomorrow.

Jaimesix - nissanparts.cc lists the rocker panel mould clip as being available from Nissan. $3.74 each.

Hi Dave.

Any way you could find out if these rocker panel mould clip is available? I would like to purchase a set, perhaps a couple sets to have as spare.

Is there a Nissan dealer site ( AU )?

Cheers.

Sorry, I was going to chase it up for you - my father has been in hospital and I forgot

As far as I know, there is no website. I used to work in a Nissan spare parts distributorship (although in I.T rather than the spare parts department), and still know a few guys in the business so I ask them.

Will check up for you on Monday. I need a set anyway. Feel free to "remind" me if I forget again :blahblah:

Sorry about your father being ill. Hopes he gets back on his feet soon.

Whenever you have a chance, check that out.

Cheers.

Douglasamills.

Are you talking about the side glass clips ? ( side molding ) or the rocker panel molding clips?

Cheers.

Sorry for the late reply. I was thinking the ones that run under the windows on top of the doors.
eg were the silver to body colour changes on the top of the doors on a 180b

Interestring?

That is the part number on the sachet when they sent them to me, perhaps they got them mixed up or something?

Did you quote them on the size also? they have to be as per the dimensions on that sketch posted above.

hello, they did get mixed up they sent me no 016 0062, when i questioned them about it they said, sorry the clip you want "016 0062" is not in stock, to which i replied

hi,
this seems very confusing you say the clip im after 016 0062 you dont stock, however the clips i have in my hand say part no, 016 0062, however i am after clips 146 0162? i have no interest in 016 0062,
do you stock 146 0162 and if not why was i lead to believe this was the clip i was recieving as it says on my reciept thats the part number?

Jack.

on the invoice they emailed my it says 146 0162, im pretty annoyed, they can give me a refund how ever im sure this will lead to me paying postage and getting a few dollars back on the clips. i sent the the pictures on this thread in my email with the demensions and the 180b just incase it may help, pretty dissapointed with the situation.
