Ok well i think i may have kinda made some sort of crazy decision... Im selling the wags.

But do I sell it all as is(once ive put it all back together)?
Or strip it back to standardish? Take the Watanabes off it, A15 and 5spd, disks out of it and replace with standard items (cheap allys, A12 and drums)?

I dont really know what to do. Does anybody want any of the bits seperatly or the whole car?

Quick rundown of the car atm

1968 Datsun 1000 Wagon VB10.
Fresh A15 with cam, 32/36 Weber, genie extracters, Alloy rad.
Non dogleg, overdrive 5spd with new Exedy HD clutch.
Freshish resto with metalic red 2pac. Wasnt much rust before either.
Slightly flared guards, bumperless front end, all chromework, JDM badging(SUNNY)
1000 Coupe dash, S13 Silvia buckets, new carpet, CD player.
Disk brakes at the front(Dattoman_1000 kit), standard drums rear.
3.9:1 H145 Diff (little noisey).
13x7 RS-Watanabes with 185/60 and 205/60 near new rubber.
2" lowering blocks in the back, front is same level. Looks nice.
Some new steering/susp parts where needed.

What would people offer for either the whole thing or the parts mentioned above. Im not 100% stripping it. Only like the big things that are easily replaced by a lesser item.

Dont worry, Im not getting out of the Datto game. Currently searching for a 1000 ute. Just gonna keep it tidy as a daily. 20km 100l sucks ass doing 250km a week. The wagon isnt what i want anymore.

Try selling it whole for what you want for it first. If that fails, then think about breaking it up for parts.

i think he means 20L/100km

still above LS1 figures there - what's it running? methanol?

Chris - my house will be ready soon. I said if you still had this when my house is ready that'd i'd be interested in buying it. I can't drive a car without chrome and the Kingswood body aint getting less rusty.

If you break it up and part it out it'll be a another wagon trashed by another P Plater with YLD! dreamz about an SR20T'n'discospud convo and end up a sizzling pile of shizzle.

you want the cash. cool. but a bit of patience may see all of it go to a good home 8)

i'd even be prepared to take it as a complete roller sans engine and box, if you're attached to the motor (which i have a feeling you are). i've been ITCHING to build a hardcore L16.

You have a good point there Aaron. Im not in any rush and i would like it to goto a good home. Eng/box dont really matter to me. They would only sit in the shed. But i know people are chasing them. How far away is the house :giggle: I wasnt gonna advertise it formally anywhere, just see who wanted it around the place.

yea 20L/100. 2001 3.5 V6 Jackaroo. They are shithouse on fuel. i knew before i bought it but it was a good deal and is perfect for what i need it for.

And a bloke on 1200 has dibs on the disks if i part it.

I was thinking as is with everything back together and running $5000 or so. I bought it for $2k stocko and there is alot more then $3k in parts there let alone the body resto.

my driveway is being laid today - my HWS goes in Monday along with my last lot of electrical.

so very close indeed.

i'd love the chance to build my own engine. but if the A15 is good then i guess i could just pop a turbo on that. what 5 speed is it? if you're happy to just sell the roller then i guess you could just drive it over and we could remove the engine there and then! lol.

at the end of the day you know what you want for it and what you're willing to accept.
