Does anyone know if there is different twin piston Sumitomo calipers? Reason I ask is I am in the process of putting new kits through some atm for a friend and the kits he supplied are very close but not right. The calipers I have here do not have a recess for the piston dust boots to sit into so when you fit them with the metal ring they keep popping off. I get the feeling they are 2mm to small in diameter and too tight. Has anyone come across this?
Are there different brands of kits that are better than others?

Cheers. Simon

I think there are 2 different 240K brakes. Apparently there were 2 different disc sizes. No idea if there were caliper differences though.

One is the 2 piston jobbie, the other is a single piston sliding caliper type.
However is there is 2 seals per kit, perhaps there is another version out there :?:

Baz? Any idea?

You can see in this pic that there is no groove for the dust boot to sit in.
These are the twin piston type. Not the crappy sliders.

There are usually 2 grooves inside the piston bore, one for the main piston seal and the other for the boot lip.

A version of these calipers were released on old Torana's.
