Hey guys

I would have thought that a Datsun 260C was 2.6 ltr? Though mine is fitted with a N42 block and head which is a 2.8ltr? Where is the engine number and chassis number on these things?

Cheers
Tim

Engine number is at the top of the block, driver's side, just below #5 spark plug.

First three characters are the engine type - ie an L26 will be engine number L26******, L28 will be L28******.

Pretty common for people to swap the biggest engine in that they can, ie L20B into anything fitted with 4 cylinder L-series engines, L28's into anything fitted with a 6 cylinder L-series.

You have an L28 in your car. N42 block and head is L28 spec.

.....LIKE I'VE BEEN CHEATED I TELL YOU!!!!!!! Haha, Nah its alright. Just means that i will have to find some time to make changes to the current engine (which is pumping out 150psi in all cylinders according to my tester) instead of finding another to hot up.

Cheers
