hey guys, this was really just to get an idea on if the standard axle is the same as any 'stronger' axle on another bigger car to justify a low offset wheel.
so far the 280zx wheel has a factory +10 offset and the rear stub axle dimensions on the rear are the same as 1600 ones (apart from the spline count on the turbo version and possibly the manual version)
so i wanted to go through getting permits to run my low offset wheels in regards to vsb14 LS4.3 and page 47 'track' of the same LS document
so i explained in my modification application that my axles are the same as 280zx (so i didn't see the need to change them) with a factory offset of +10 therefore i should be able to run-2 offset (+12mm each side extra track)
so far so good with just receiving approval in principal as my modifications are 'within guidelines'. hope the engineer agrees!
shame about the front with the 200b struts (+12 to 13 offset legally) but i can change them to 280zx and get -2 legally as well as even then the original 1600 track is only changed by about 12mm (280zx hubs are about 20mm inboard compared to 200b)
cross those fingers as nothings completed untill passing the pits.
