Dominique and Paul were excellent hosts, Vince was an excellent teacher. It really is a great weekend.
My sprint guard turned out nicely (now I want an english wheel), my power bulge, umm, not so nice
. It looked good, but I couldn't get it to fit the buck as well as I would have liked, it ended up an inch too long.
The main thing I learnt from the weekend was that I need to excercise my right arm more. Swinging the big blocking hammer is hard work.
Getting the bits home was interesting. The first security girl at the airport thought it was a shield (which apparently is a banned item for carry-on luggage), she called another guy over who asked what it was, when I said it was a panel forming project, he asked if it was from the place he'd seen on Facebook offering weekend courses, had a quick chat and waved me on
