Hi guys, I'm building an old 1974 galant wagon with a ca18det I know it's not a datto but thought you guys may be able to help. I'm trying to work out the best short gearbox to bolt up to the ca18 that can handle 300+ hp without having to many dramas. I trying to avoid tunnel mods if I can buy any ideas will be great.

Your gallo would have to be similar to some of the 1200 datsuns they specialise in.
I think they use the std CA18 gbox or they use an R30 Skyline stumpy gbox but they dont hold as much power and are getting old thesedays...

Yeah they would be about the same as the 1200, I was leaning towards the r30 but finding one isn't happening. I will have a chat to mad dat and see what they think. Thanks for the reply mate
