Nik,
Cheers mate.
My 1600 has been in the panel beaters for 4 years waiting for him to work on it in his spare time. I could/should have taken it off him a long time ago but thats partly why I brought the zed, so I had something to play with while I couldn't do anything on the 16.
God I hope my SR20 isn't dead from sitting for so long. I will have to squirt some oil into the bores and wind it over a few times when I'm up there next.
I've got a few parts for the 16 accumulated, more required of course. In a way I'm glad I did the zed first because I'm a lot more confident with general fabrication work than I was, so that will save me money in that I can do things myself (like fabricating new engine brackets).
Plus now I've got a car that I plan on making into a race car, I'm not torn between wanting to go stupidly fast and still wanting to drive on the street as I was 18 months ago with the 16. To that end I think the SR will get the Autronic SMC from the zed (and I'll hassle Pete Leibig to give me a printout of the standard fuel/ign maps so I can try to translate them into the Autronic). That also gives me an excuse to waste some more money on a
proper engine managment system for the zed.
I'm having boost control issues on the zed atm. Dunno if its the solenoid, or the wastegate itself, or a line connecting them or what.
Dave
