Hey all I'm doing a rear disc conversion on 180b using s13 rear calipers. Just wondering if any1 would be interested in some brackets to suit? They will be a weld on type but very simple to do

If you are offering technical brake info feel free to post up some more details on rotor type and if it incorporates a handbrake etc, but if you are selling these perhaps a post in the classified section would be the go...

Na I'm not selling these yet cause i gotta make them work for myself. I'm using s13 rear calipers and rotors will have to measure them but I am hoping to get them to work with the datsun cable handbrake also will eventually be running a hydraulic handbrake also. I am willing to help people out in any way possible with it because I myself like things in the simplest way possible.

Cheers fred.

What's everyone do about the wheel spigot when upgrading to dics ?
Don't know how t goes with these little solid setups, but with the vented rears I want to use, the thickness of the disc over the stub axle leave's only 1-2mm for the wheel to spigot on, which isn't enough to guarantee the wheels not being carried purely on the studs.

So are you saying the disc doesn't fit hard against the stub?

No, disc fit's hard against the stub and spigot's on where the wheel would usually spigot, thus removing the wheel spigot. Wheel is held central only by the wheel studs. Any bumps and what have you, are attempting to shear the wheel stud, rather than being taken by the spigot.

You will find unless you have custom rear hubs made there is nothing else you can do as most disc brake thickness will void the spigot you are referring to. Not ideal but works for most.

Front brake conversions are obviously crucial as it centres the wheel better to avoid vibration and other steering issues. But fronts dont have spigot depth issue.

Thought as much. Have thought about machining the stub axle to provide a hole to allow a spigot piece, but not sure that's the best either.
Custom stubs seem to be about the only way. Maybe I have to talk to some people.

How much of the spigot pokes through the centre of the stock drums to locate the wheel?
