Suggestions? Its located in the engine bay, and no its not the oil pressure switch wire.

It might be the engine compartment light wire. |

Could be spotlight wire too. Looks like it traces over to the passenger side also? If there is another one then i'd bet its for a light of some discription. Put a test lamp on it and see what happens with indicators and parkers etc. I reqired mine and remembered seeing a Yellow/green wire. Can't remember what it was for however. |

Has power with ignition on, but only illuminates the test light dimly. Other probles i got is no brake lights or indicators, but when i press the brakes the left indicator illuminates on the dash. |

a quick look at the good ol' wiring diagram, Yellow/Green (YG) (the only one I see before going cross-eyed) is for the Park Brake switch. It does show that the (YG) comes goes to the cluster for the light, the park brake switch and also heads off from the switch (hence the double wires) off to an empty spare plug. Yellow/Blue is Oil pressure switch. |

I hate electrics! Where are some common earth points that will screw me over? i ensured the one near the bonnet release was good, any others? |

Yeah. That's where I've seen the YG wire before. Threw me because its in the engine bay.... Hmmm. The terminal goes to the park brake wire. Gets grounded when the handbrake is engaged which completes the circuit and turns the light on. marries up with same coloured wire on the dash cluster. |

Well sorted out all the lights, but the charge light stays on, charge rate is good

Well sorted out all the lights, but the charge light stays on, charge rate is good ck to make sure T connector is good and tight. Make sure you dont have a IR alternator in the car and the old volt reg still hooked up. Other wise youll have to jumper some wires if still external volt reg try another volt reg.If you have a spare. |
