Gidday,

I have a 1200 ute with 200b rotors and girlock calipers and standard drums on rear. I'm not going to run a booster and wonder what is the most appropriate size master cylinder. As my wife will drive the car too, I don't want the brake pedal effort to be to hard and was thinking of usinng a 3/4" instead of a 13/16".

Will the 3/4" be OK and not have too much pedal travel?

With out trying I wouldnt know for sure . But Im pretty sure the standard 200B calipers ran a 13/16 master cylinder (about 21mm bore). When doing brake conversions generally you should use the same bore master cylinder intended for the calipers the car came off. By down sizing to 3/4 master (19mm bore) the piston may run out of travel before the the front calipers have locked up.

Also make sure you use a dual circuit master cylinder.
