You're getting it purely for looks?
Probably won't look good IMHO.
If you just want to reduce weight then it doesn't matter what it looks like, just paint it!

I want to put one on my car. If I do, I'll probably order it in about 2 months.
As for rice, I obviously don't think so, however I'll be painting mine so the carbon is only visible when it's open.
Mine will be coming from the States so the more I order the cheaper they'll be. If you, or anyone is interested in getting one I'll get some pricing together.

And while on the subject of carbon, I'm looking at carbon bars too. At the moment these are looking like they'll be really cheap. Let me know if you're interested in these too. Oh and fiberglass too.

Bumpers sound interesting, mostly because my 200B bumpers are bent, and cos i've heard of people putting the smaller 510 bumpers on 810s for a more minimalist look.
No idea how easily they fit but yeah.
Bonnets i would love for my 810 cos mine is rusty as but i've yet to find a supplier...

Have made an enquiry regarding the bonnets to confirm they have the supports on the underside, as well as the holes for mounting the hinges and latch at the front.
Have also asked for pricing on a few pairs of bars (front and rear), as well as a few bonnets.
Will hopefully have an answer in the next few days.

If you want your car to be legal, you can't use carbon fibre or fibreglass.
It presents too much of a risk for pedestrians from an ADR perspective.

If you are going to use them, then perhaps get the car signed off first, and then tweak later? Regardless if you get pulled over by someone who knows what they are doing you'll have to "replace it".

Does that still count for cars from the 1960s though?
Pedestrian impact rules no doubt didn't exist back then did they?

Does that apply to the boot aswell??

Thinking of going high gloss white with carbon boot / bonnet and interior bits wont be done for years though, might have to just use the carbon on the track and find a good metal one. mine has those stupid bonnet pins on it (probably illegal too)

The bonnets have supports moulded into the underside as per the originals, and have the same mounting points for the hinges and latch as the originals too.
The main difference is that they must be installed with gas struts instead of the old spring set up. The bonnet does come with these gas struts though.
I'll be able to confirm pricing for the bonnets, front guards and bumpers in the next few days.
