Post subject:  Better Brakes into 620

Hey guys,
I've got a few quick questions about brakes. I've currently got a 620 single cab 72. It's got the J15 engine and crappy drums all around. Driving my ute then going to my girlfriends Mirage makes me almost flip the car with how hard I put her brakes on when I think I'm 'easing' them on. SO! my question is I'm looking to upgrade the front brakes to disc brakes and I wanted to know what you guys recommend and what work is required to do it. I havent done anything brake related before but if someone explains it well enough I'll be sure to give it a crack lol. Any other suggestions you guys might have is more than welcome as well. Thanks for any help guys!

You'll need to go to the wreckers and find yourself a datsun 720. 4x2. Remove as much from the front end as possible. This will give you the front disk brakes you require. Use a later model 720, around the 83-85 year bracket.

For the rear, you will either have to keep the drums (which arent bad) or do a diff conversion. Or get something machined up to conver the rear into a disc setup.
