hey guys,

quick question..are there different types of rear calipers available from the r31 skyline?

im asking because i have a set of r31 rear calipers (i think!), but they look different to others i have seen eg. the ones sold at datsport..

the difference is that they dont have the 'fins' on them. they are still twin piston, look very similar etc..but no fins!

Mine are of a poverty pack skyline, and have the fins.
And they're single piston - you might be looking at R32s

All Australian delivered models came with the finned single piston sliding rear caliper with rachet handbrake mechanism.

Sounds like you may have HR31 rear calipers?

pretty sure I have a pair of finned r31 rear calipers lying around if you want them. Probably need kits put through them. I'm in Melba.

HR31 uses an internal drum handbrake, so yes they won't do don't have the sh*t handbrake mechanism.
