Hey people, in the not-to-distant future I will be removing my rather bent m2.25 inch exhaust with its ultra-restrictive muffler, and fitting a happier one with a high-flow. However, I am unsure of what sort of tip I should get, or if I should just leave it without one. So I was wondering if any of you kind Datsun folk would mind posting a picture of the rear of your car and showing me (and anyone else) what the tip looks like against the car. It's on a Datsun 200B sedan, but I'd still like to see pictures of any car and how the tip looks.

Nice 200B  I've been thinking about a tip like that but might go slightly fatter. Either that or just straight out, rather than dump...if that makes sense. Thanks for the photo, I'd like to see some more should anyone have any!

probably the least important aspect of datsun ownership is your exhaust tip
i know im alot more concerned with my one leaking rear drum, speedo stopped working, fuel gauges coming on and off, worn body rubbers, leaky rear window, rattly drivers window, that wierd fuel smell that comes an goes, my dodgy accelerator cable set-up.....amazingly exhaust tip isnt on there.....

but to stay on topic, mine is just a 2 1/4 pipe which is currently still painted houn green because i forgot to mask it when i was painting

There are other things that should be higher in my priorities I'm sure, but since the exhaust will be replaced soon (I hope) I would like an idea of which tip would look best. I should also point out that I definately DO NOT do want a cannon. I am not driving a WRX :giggle:

I've just got a chromed up Dumppy, I liked it at the time but now I'm thinking of getting rid off it and getting a stainless muffler with a straight tip.

I reckon my car looks too Muzza with the dump and ppl offten mistake it for an RX3 lol

Thanks for your input SSS 610, SIX-TEN and turbovan. I think I have narrowed it down to a straight tip like turbovan's or a dump pipe like SIX-TEN's. I don't like the look of these oval-shaped tips or twin pipes out of one side (well not on a Datto anyway). I'm thinking it will most likely be the dump pipe but we shall see...more input to convince me either way!

Nah nothing wrong with it just that droop tips are more common on them cars, but I often get told it looks like one one the less.
