Right i have to simple questions.
Ive stripped my car and im getting it ready for paint.
We all know how well brake fluid removes paint so its time for a new master cylinder.
At this stage i am retaining the factory brakes, but most likely will upgrade the fronts to R31 items in the near future and possibly a long while later down the track install a Borg Warner Diff with either falcon or Skyline rear discs (thats a maybe at this stage)
So what i want to know is what sort of master cylinder should i order. Should i order a direct replacement or is there something from another model that i should order to get better results?

The second question is. I am going to be using a larger style brake booster from a 810 180B i have brought this item second hand and al though it is rusty i have been told it worked. Is it recommended to rekit this item or just leave it as is? Is the process an expensive or a difficult one?

The car it is going into is a KP710 Violet 140J (think 1600/180B as you ozzies never really got these but the basic floor pan and chassie is the same.)

Thanks
Brett

You need a 7/8" master cyl.
Std size for R31 brakes.

Kits are available tho expensive.
test the booster first & see if it holds vacuum.
