 Post subject: 180b rear brake upgrade

hey all, i was just wonderin am i able to replace my 180b rear drums with discs? would R31 discs fit without too much modifications?

yeah they should fit and there not to hard to fit i did it to my 1600
just need to re-drill the holes on the caliper bracket and i got the datsport brake line and hand brake kits

Yep, 180b rear brakes are identical to 1600 rear brakes, so any of the info on R31 conversion for 1600's applies to 180B's as well :thumbsup:

wicked, i was also thinking maybe bluebird TRX front struts and discs, so would it be easier to put TRX discs on the back aswell because i think they may be bigger. either way would be better then the ol drums

oh i forgot to add, would a bluebird brake master cylinder bolt into the original 180b bolt holes?

Nah you woudl be better of with a 7/8 master or the like, Bluebird ones are sh*t, look up Datsport and they sell brand new ones for $135! Cheap :thumbsup:

R31 pintara or skyline? skyline ones would be slightly stiffer to make up for the extra wait wouldnt they? i want somethin that rides and drives nice

If you use R31, you need to modify the spring seat on the strut and use different springs anyway.

Stock R31 springs won't fit inside a 1600's strut towers.
