Guys,
I've now been over here for over 2 months now, & in that time I've been applying for any
jobs up north that are advertised or that I've heard about via word of mouth.

For some bizarre reason I've haven't been able to score a job up north, & I'm getting sick of labour hire.
If anyone knows of any jobs for a Boilermaker or knows someone who could help me, I'd seriously appreciative!
Anywhere is fine - even out in bumfuck no-where.

(And here I was thinking this was going to be easy...)

My Father in Law is down this weekend - he's the supervisor for Talison in Wodjina (tantalum).

I'll see if he needs a qualified boilermaker - shouldn't be too hard to find you something.

It's not what you know, it's WHO you know....

Ask for Craig - tell him Aaron sent you.

*edit craig is in phuket*

get a resume together with your trade certs and send it to

phil.ryan at talison dot com dot au

and he'll pass it on.

an opening just came up as of tuesday for a cert boilermaker. FIFO from Port Hedland and a 1h25m drive out to Wodjina.

no, will go directly to Phil, bypassing Craig.

he can't expect to get business while in Phuket.

I'm very serious here - get a resume together and your certs and there's a job waiting. Phil isn't the kinda guy you have a lend of when it comes to work, or p1ss in his pocket.

Ah, I asked Phil in the email to fwd it to Craig when he gets back.
Never mind, I guess it'll sort itself out... Haven't heard from anyone yet though.
Thanks again, Aaron :D

Ah thanks mate, I sent a correction email last night anyway, explaining my mistake...

I'm just wondering if my ozdat.com email address is getting through to some of these company’s & not being classed as spam...

One thing about the mining industry dude, nothing happens in a hurry, but when it does it's all go so u might need to be a bit more patient than a cupla weeks, took me 6 months, although I had zero qualifications. It all depends on when a position becomes vacant n sh*t.
