i was also looking at getting a set of decent pads for my 240K struts, aswell as slotted discs (not drilled as i hear they crack easier). i plan on going to the hilux 4 pots later on, and what i want to know is, would i be wasting my time by doing up the 240k calipers and am i better off just saving the money and using it on the hilux brake setup?

thanks,
dave

Well, seeing that the largest manufacturer of brake pads is located in your home town, why don't you pay them a visit to see what they have available to you? (Probably don't sell direct to the public, but you may be able to talk to someone in there who can help you).

Failing that, Lucas make some good stuff for very cheap. As I've said before so many times, call Dave or Nikki - 07 5441 6411. They rally QLD's (and possibly Australia's) fastest forest 240K, and use nothing but Lucas (also sell them very cheap). Dave now uses later model Skyline brakes (MR30 I believe) but ran the 240K front end for a while.

What he doesn't know about making 240K's stop probably hasn't been written yet. (well, possibly not, but he has a wealth of real world experience). He can also help you out with cheap rotors.

Well, decided to give the Bendix Ultimates a try.

And for anyone else looking for some, there's a set on eBay at the moment for $33

He had two sets listed, of which I bought one 8)

Hope you don't mind dirty wheels. That was my only complaint with them.

Its a track-only car, and its not that neat looking  so I reckon I can live with that.
