Finally, you'll also need to either get the disc width machined down to 22mm, or again, you can take to the caliper with a file and wont have to touch the disc (at least this is the case with the VL calipers, I?m not too sure about the Hilux requirements).
since the verada disc is 24mm, and the service limit is 22.4mm, is machining the disc down to 22mm okay?! or will it weaken the disc?

The Hilux disc is 20mm thick. (If the centre hole wasn't so goddarned big, I would have scored a brand new pair of them for free as well :? )

I think that the Honda Legend disc may be the better option for the Hilux caliper, although I know of someone using a Peugeot 504 disc with the Hilux caliper.

As far as drilling 4 holes onto e 5 hole disc - it's probably ok, but I wouldn't do it. Bolt holes are there for a reason, and anything that compromises the strength of a bolted joint is a bad thing in my books. But then again, I'm just anal about these things.

I must be anal too. I cringed at that as well.

BTW what size rims can you fit the verada conversion under?

As far as redrilling a 5 stud to a four, or any other combination for that matter, look upon it as a weight reducing exercise

Have had my engineer look at this,
Has no probs with center bore hub to flange mounting.
depends where the holes are in relation to each other & where the stress
is placed.
Holes must not overlap on rotors,

Yeah back in the '80s when my old man was racing 250 GP bikes, he used to dabble in 250 proddie racing occasionaly. Being a production class, every thing had to be 100% stock-standard and guys used to go to great lengths to reduce weight (cheat).
I can't remember what year (circa 1984) one of my Dads mates lightened some components on his braking system, the officials found him out though......... while removing the wreck from murrays after his fatal accident. (caused by brake failure)
I would be VERY careful and never do anything suss with brakes or steering.

I am currently doing this brake conversion.... (4spots on stanza struts)

I have landcruzer 4 spot calipers... (2 big pistons, 2 small pistons)

I get unstuck on which rotor to use,, People say verada but searching thru the DBA catalouge there are SO many different ones..

Does anybody know the partnumber of the rotor i need to go with these calipers???

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

the verada rotor everyone talks about is DBA425. if you lookup verada in the dba catologue i think there is only 2 different types of front rotors used on the verada's.

Just one more question.. How does the difference in hat size of 3mm effect the whole situation?????

that would change where the caliper sits over the disc..

3mm could mean that it fouls..

but alot of guys on here combat that problem with either using washers or taking (small) ammounts of the caliper mounting face!!
