Looking at rolling the guards or slightly flaring them with one of those guard roller tools.

Absolutely. I've seen 185s on an 8" wheel. So try 205s and see what happens. I think with a guard roll they will fit without issue. Are you running the standard diff?

Thanks for the help, yeah standard diff aswell. So I guess this week i'll buy my tyres, im thinking shops like bob jane etc wont fit 205's to 8's and they'll tell me a heap of bullshit about it not being legal so looks like ill be on a hunt for a shop that will do it. Probably going to run kumho ku36's as I heard these are good.

Would 205's go on like a normal tyre or would I have to use the good old hair spray and lighter?

The tyres will go on fine. I don't think they'll be too stretched. If the tyre shop says anything say they're for a show car that isn't street registered. You should be fine though, I doubt there will be that much stretch.

Standard diff is narrower than a Bluebird diff (common 200B upgrade) so that gives your wheels extra room!
