Hi all, I have a 1983 bluebird that I bought for my daughter. The problem is that it does not have power steering and my daughter is not built like a weight lifter so does anyone know if power steering from another datsun would fit into the bluebird???. Thanks for your help

Do any of the bluebirds come with power steer factory?

This might be a question for the 910bluebird.com guys, if you dont get a response, go to that site and check the forums, if anyone knows it will be ders or one of those guys.

I was at the north U-Pull It wreckers here in Adelaide only 2 weeks ago and saw a Bluebird with power steering. I was checking out the engine bay for the 'good' exhaust manifold when I saw the power steering pump! I looked around a bit harder and saw that the steering box and arms had been removed.

Until then I wasn't aware of a L-series powered Bluebird 'with' power steering. Seeing is believing!!!

the steering box may be mal-adjusted.

you may find that taking the top off and re-oiling everything and playing with the screw settings on the top of the box may be enough to make it light again.

they weren't particularly heavy from the factory (they're no sigma!) so chances are it's just the adjustment.

No Aus delivered bluebirds had power steer from factory. I believe it was an option on the jap version. I know you can fit power steer from a pintara in there, but it's not a simple bolt on process.
