The scenario is I sold a pretty clean 180B wagon about a decade ago.
Its been one of those cars that got away, and always regretted selling.
I have purchased the car back, and shes been stored in some sad places over the years.
Collected a lot of dirt, leaves and grime in all the wrong places. Rust is the result :( :( :(
Luckily it had a rust treatment (spray on something on the inner panels) at some stage of its life otherwise it would have been a throw away car.
Aside from that, it is a mostly complete car with a good interior.

Majority of rust is in the front fenders, doors and bonnet...
Havent found any in chassis, or bottom of the sills yet.
There is a little bit of rust under one of the rear windows,
Havent started pulling it apart yet to see what other bonus rust I have inherited :impatient:

Questions are,
-What 180B repo panels are available, and from where?
-Are doors from the sedan (front and rear) and bonnet compatible with wagon?

-Is anyone brave enough to state how much they paid someone else to do the body work on their car? Like a proper fecked car.
Im happy to pay someone to get this old girl going again, but have never paid anyone for panel work. Not sure what to expect, and just trying to figure out what sort of financial commitment I should be looking at.
I know its a how long is a ball of string question, but 5k, 10k, 20k.... What should I expect.

Also, any preferred datsun reto / panel shops in Adelaide??

You can get the bottom section of the front guards from Repco / RareSpares (or could a few years back when I bought them). Can also get the lower rear 1/4 panel sections for a sedan but not much use on a wagon. Apart from that, I don't believe there are any repro panels available.

Bonnet should be the same across all 180B models. Front doors on sedan are (I think) the same as sedan. Rear doors would be different due to the different roofline on sedan and wagon. I can check against the spare parts book tonight.

Try Adam at Rollin' Relics Lonsdale 0400221471 He's had some 1600's in there and did my paint job. I am very happy with that ---Price-- how long is that piece of string --depends on how much you do to start with or supply in needed parts to him. Worth a call.

Checked the 180B spare parts book, it doesn't cover wagons :(

I've never had the need to look for wagon parts, never noticed that my parts book only covers sedan and hardtop. Sorry.

1600's have different part numbers for sedan and wagon front doors, if that's any indication.

Buy this dvd and some basic tools, then some sheet metal, find some time and get stuck in.
