This is what they look like. They are hell uncomfortable and should never be put back into a 1600 unless you are restoring it original. They're like sitting on concrete, will break your back, even with harnesses will let you slide around and will squelch in the summer heat on the vinyl.
Some came with headrests, some didn't, I thought the ones that came from a GL model did? Mine did at any rate, so thats the pic you get!

Sorry, don't really have any good shots of them in the car that I could find except for this close up...

Your dead right about them being like sitting on concrete (as a minimum you wear the seats rear cross bar as a new not so comfortable part of you coxic). And the main function of the seat belt in a 1600 with stock seats, is to keep you off your passagers lap when cornering moderately. They look cool but a trip of about an hours duration is the most I can handle in them.............
Wow mate thanks for the quick reply.
I think I might give em a go if I can find some nearby for cheap, maybe I can re-stuff them with something softer
Think its far more stylish than aftermarket seats.
cheers for your help,
chris
Was thinking along the same lines to get them re upholstered to provide a bit more support, and keep a fixed back for track days - would only take about half an hour to swap it over
