Hi Guys

I have a Datsun Stanza I use for Clubsprints and looking for photos or details on how to seal off the C-Pillar.

I read on BMSC some time ago that space invader (expanding foam) produces extremely harmful fumes if it burns.

Has anyone sealed off the C pillar on a race or rally car?

Thanks

I think if something is burning and you are worried about harmful fumes the expanding foam is giving off, then the priorities are a little out.

You can buy foam that you can probably cut to the right size and silicone in place that would be semi-fire retardant. But as soon as you get fuel on most of this stuff, that all goes out the window.

Tape up the openings with some aluminium tape then fill up the holes with expanding foam. You can work your way down hole by hole then shoot it up from the bottom. Some of the foam at Bunnings is specifically rated as fire retardant.
