excuse my ignorance, but what's a "pie burner exhaust" ?

Spotted 3 datos today on the way to work.

On the freeway, near Ocean reef road: Nice looking white Datsun 1600 with mags and WRC plates, looking very sorry for itself, broken down on the side of the freeway.

Later on the freeway, near leederville, a white 1000 hard top. (like the sedan, but with 2 doors. Not the fastback). Very nice condition. Very original, down to the fender mirrors, and skinny tyres. Looks to have been restored. Driven buy a woman in her 40's i guess.

Then later while stuck in traffic on the freeway near the canning highway off ramp saw a red 1200 sedan that looked pretty nice, but was too far away to get a good look at it.

(and also the usual white 1600 that's always in the work car park).

Maybe some one should make some ozdat flyers to leave on parked datsuns?

I have made some small ones and I do leave them on windscreens

She is a nice old indian-ish lady.

I have driven hers, and she asked to go for a drive in mine, to see what extras I had done, had done for performance and handling.

She was soo funny, and had a smile that nearly broke her face in two when she got out.

Her 1600 was lent to her grand daughter for a couple of years, and it dissapeared, then grandaugher pranged it, so granny had it rebuilt, and still drives it.

As far as I know she still has my phone number in her ashtray, just incase she finally decides to sell it.

umm i didnt get a good look at her but i know she was a grannie:P i also saw a mat black 1200ute looked pretty good it was on roe hwy heading south.....and yeh...i see a black 1200 ute with a rollbar gettin round in forrest field....and the other day i saw a whit 1200 ute on the morrison rd roe hwy intersection it had mddington nubma plates on it i think and looked pretty kool....1 see 1 more every day to work its a white 1200 ute going east on welshool rd and roe hwy (bloddy again...and for hose who are wondering i dont live on roe bloddy hwy)..but the ute was being driven by an older man (30's) i spose:?

saw a mint granny spec 1200 sedan the other day in kelmscott. Brown, missing one hubcap (yes, it had original ones on) and had a bit of a dent in the back i think. was an automatic as well. was tempted to hang around and wait for the owner to show up to see if he/she would sell
