hi progress is slow but steady. ive completed the rust finally and now starting on body deadening,brake and fuel lines underneath the car so i can get it off the rotisserie. then its off to the tafe to get painted, i was going to do it myself but was chatting to my old trade school teacher the other day and he said he could do the work for me so why not eh?will save a lot of labour. ill keep u posted

good stuff ben. once its painted it will all come together quickly i reckon. the only 2 door sr20 turbo 1600 that i know of in aus...

ps i will still definately come get that rear end, just trying to find a spot for it still :oops:

looks god, how much weight do you think the sound deadener added, just outta curiosity? it's something i'd do to my car if i was gonna rebuild itt o that extent, but maybe another layer or two depending on weight, that's all, new car comfort is always better

Don't forget you'll have to weld the trans/gearbox tunnel in.
Pop around some time (or view my members ride section) for some ideas!

thanks guys, the body deadener doesn't add a whole lot of weight because i took all the old stuff off. used about 5 liters so aound 5 kilo of weight im guessing.

yeah Nik woulsd like to come over and check out the progress some time maybe next week?

got my new FG guards this week finally from the us they seem like a pretty good fit so not much more till i do the paint job can't wait
