Hey guys........ What have people done about getting longer tie rods? Surely this is a problem when people use longer lower control arms?

Is there a suitable donor vehicle to get the longer tie rods from?

Cheers guys.

P.S. How much of the tie rod should be in the tie rod end.

I'm not sure about the Sunny, but on a 180B, the two common strategies are:

- Use inner tie-rod ends on the outers... They're longer than the outers, and there doesn't appear to be any real problem with doing this.
- Stew Wilkins makes/has hexagonal heavy duty ones, that are longer as well.

Hope this helps?

Sorry, I took a bump on the head on Saturday, and am obviously still having problems!

Stew does hexagonal tie-rods, not tie-rod ends. I think they are about 25mm longer than standard.

Of course, I've only ever seen then installed on a rally car, not seperate, so its hard to compare them to standard ones...

Is that the length of the standard ones or the Wilkins specials?
