'tis the season for getting our dattos running!

My engine ran today and also spent some time on the dyno. After a while spent setting up the maps then it was driven onto the dyno. A bit of light load tuning, then it got boosted up and made 128 kw at the wheels on 15psi. The turbo was overboosting but it handled it all OK. The wastegate needs to be fixed before any further tuning can be done.

Nothing went wrong with the actual head conversion in any way so I can safely say the conversion works (and well). The only niggles were the support systems like ECU wiring and fuel system, which were quite minor.

Congratulations zac!

Awesome work mate. Love the sound - just like an L, except gruntier.

130rwkw is fairly impressive considering you have no intercooler. Can't wait to see what it'll do when sorted.

Dave

Ok, the long awaited page is ready for public viewing.
I have just spent several hours working on it! I wanted to make sure that it was thoroughly detailed with photos.
Hopefully there isn't too many more questions that need to be asked.

Great effort zac510 ... the car and the web page. I'm in awe of your ingenuity and determination!

Cheers, Neil.

What more of a manual do you need? I thought it was pretty thorough!
And the webpage is free!

Thanks Neil.

The web page doesnt have much structure. Most people that might do this will not be able to make sense of the website.

I know I HATE reading how-to's and things on websites. I prefer something in my hand, like a book.

People doing this wont mind paying and extra $20 and be able to do it right.

The conversion is only for people that have half a clue mechanically. Someone with required skills can look at the webpage, make a list of the parts they require and then perform the conversion.

I think Zac sold his car and went overseas. I assume his ISP account was closed. Maybe someone else can give more info?

AFAIK, Zac's in the UK atm. So yeah, I guess that's why his page is kaput.

I'm not sure if he ever did sell his car or not. I was fortunate enough to be given a ride in it a couple of weeks before he left - sure as hell seemed OK at the time!
