Hey guys not sure if this has been discussed before but wanting to know if anyone has shortened their rear axles before. I have some wheels that I want to run but I’m worried about rubbing. I don’t really want to modify the guards want to keep the body lines as original as possible.

Cheers

It can be done, plenty of modified cars with a live rear axle run shortened rear axles from a larger vehicle (Hilux, 9 inch, etc). Going by your display picture though, this is for a 1600 so IRS? If so, I've never heard of this being done, but you could try contacting a diff shop and seeing what they suggest.
