I now live in California so my Dad now fully owns and drives our 1600 back in Australia There are some really nice Datsun's over here, particularly the Z's. I don't have the garage space to restore one so I may buy another one down the road. Really interested in getting one that has an EV conversion, would make a great daily driver |

Still around and still have the Y. Its been off the road for almost 12 months having a turbo upgrade but should be back in action shortly. Still keep in contact with a lot of the old ozdat/1200.com guys mostly on Facebook these days but
would love to have a chat to you about youe itb set up i thinking of doing the same

Hi all, I registered with a new account as i couldn't get the old one going (Previously was MR1600) Had a circa 10 year break from datsuns, had 2 kids, worked alot and then got the itch back. Bought a 4 door 80' model Sunny (B310) 1 owner a year ago not because I always wanted a sunny or liked the look of it. It was just in such great condition that i thought why the hell not. Have since bought another sunny in pretty bad shape but has a running CA18det in it which I will do the transplant over the next few months. So devastated how face book has taken over this place. I grew up with this forum.. Bit of a ghost town now. Cheers |

Hey Nik,I somehow missed this sorry. I moved to Switzerland for a bit, now I'm in London. But I'm writing this post whilst drinking a beer in Italy and about to head to France. Not that many Datsuns out here. I know of a rough LHD 240Z in North London, and one night in Central London I spotted a Vanette. Lots of Zeds and some F10 Cherrys pop up on eBay, but rarely anything else. Strangely I have seen a couple of C210s, one C110 and a few Zeds cruising around London but registered in Kuwait or Saudi Arabia! Still here, got to drive my 510/1600 when I went back to Australia for a visit for a few weeks but don't own one here in California Still see the odd 510 and Z on occassion and a few nice old Datsun pickup trucks too. I don't have the room for one anymore so might be a while. Importing my Datsun back in Australia to the USA is not completely out of the question but I'd need to be earning more money to afford that and keep it, and convince the missus it is a sound decision as well! |
