Hi all, its been a while, you know how it is with time management. Dat 1600 resto, --FUEL LINE routing through the right hand guard area into engine bay--re the original oval shaped grommet is non existent, been in the process of making something up. Does anyone know a good alternative to the original oval grommet through which the 2 rubber fuel lines passed. can't seem to buy one ?? Cheers, Howard. |

Can you just squeeze a round one into shape there? I used an old soldering iron to poke nicely finished holes through some grommets with success in the fire wall |

Thanks for your input "unfamilia". Yep did think about the larger round grommet but decided to go with a metal blanking plate with 2 grommets (to take the 2 fuel lines ) located in the plate then the plate fastened over the existing oval hole. Sounds like a good idea regarding the soldering iron, will try out on 2 other grommets--- ie the bonnet release cable and choke cable. Thanks for info, Cheers. |

Your plate sounds like a good solution too. At least if using normal round grommets they are easily replaceable later on if needed |
