Hi guys , a quick question. Im running a Holden Ecotec V6 throttle body and TPS on my L20b turbo efi manifold. Im about to start fitting all sensors for the CA18 loom Im running with the Wolf V4X computer. Do I have to modify a CA18 TPS to fit to the throttle body or is it simply a matter of wiring in a new plug end? Im guessing the tps has a different resistance which is why youd have to modify a Nissan one to fit?

Depends on a few things: -
1. Does the ECU require a resistance or contact type TPS?
2. Is the Holden TPS compatible with the ECU?
3. Is the CA18 TPS compatible with the ECU?

Haltec ECUs for example, require a resistance type TPS.
You calibrate it by putting the ECU in a certain mode and entering the values of zero and full throttle.

Very few OEM TPS are resistance type.

I'm sure Wolf could tell you the specs. required.

The guy at Wolf seems to think its just a matter of changing the plug to the Commodore type, wiring it in and entering values in the laptop. I asked about running the Cam Angle Sensor in place of the distributor and it appears I may have to fully disassemble the cas and flip the disc inside so the pickup will read the correct point and from the same sequence too. Ahh the joys of mods...
