With my issue, all things point to flat spots on the tyres. I haven't replaced them just yet as there are other items I am working on. If you haven't purchased a dial gauge, now is the time. Check everything for run-out. What kind of speed does yours occur? |

Around 70-80 mph here in the States. Going to swap my Whiteline bushings top to bottom and get the thick one on top. BTW, is your diff angling down or up? Or in other words, is it lower in the front or back? |

Mine has a slight vibration at that speed also. It's less of an issue In 4th gear compared to 5th. So i think mine has something to do with engine harmonics. Mine just vibrates the rear view mirror and that's about it. I've changed diff and engine/ gearbox angles significantly in my car and it made no difference. Did you swap your wheels front to back Nik? Any change? |

Ross, what ratio diff are you running? I haven't had a chance to swap wheels from front to back and test. I haven't taken the car for any long high speed drives recently. It's been mainly driving around town at or under 100km/h which doesn't seem to have any issues. I did make up some spacers on the rear moustache bar out of aluminium to try and get the driveline angle better aligned (i'm now within the 3deg requirement for smoothness). I have a few other things I'm going to try as well, but will keep working on getting this thing track ready in the small spurts of time I have available... |

I had a 3.54 in it originally as an R180 with Standard axles. Then swapped to a 3.9 R200 with cv's. But that diff is busted on the drive side of the gearset. So now I'm about to fit a 4.44 R180 with my cv's. I noticed more vibration with my R200 than my R180 despite the cv's. But i did notice that the cv angle is different with the r200 compared to the r180. They're slightly in front of the wheel at the diff end so they're not straight. I'll fit the new diff and ill report back. |

It will be interesting to know how you go with the R180 instead of the R200. The angle of the CV joints shouldn't make too much difference I would have thought. After all they are designed to go through suspension travel too. When do you think you will be fitting the R180? |

Yes I agree. I do know that the r200 sat lower than my R180 because of the bolts hitting the rear brace. I've never really looked at the angles too intently but i suspected that it was probably the uni joints more than anything else. I'll probably fit up the new diff this weekend. |
