Has anyone replaced the bonnet skin/frame goop with anything? Ie rubber pads etc? My bonnet is being done now but needs somthing in there to support the skin while sanding (oil cans now)
Thinking somthing that won't promote the rust that was just removed! Typical 200b bonnet.
Thanks.

Tiger brand has two types of goop available.
There is an adhesive sealant which sticks like .... sh!t.... to a blanket, probably ideal for your requirement.
The other type is a dab on goop that will seal but doesn't adhere to the surface.... ideal as a window glass and rubber sealant.
Available at an Auto Paint Shop near you :)

Make sure that the metal is de-rusted and well primed before using the adhesive.

You can buy a two part sealer that comes out runny but dries into an original type of foam its great stuff

How have people gone at getting it on neatly? I have visions of making a big mess haha!

The factory wasn't very neat!
Have a rag soaked in the recommended solvent handy and you can neaten it up before it starts to cure.
