Hey guys,

Recently picked up this 1969 Datsun 1600

[ img ]

Yep..

So some of the specs:

L20b

5 Speed manual gearbox from a Toyota Supra with hydraulic clutch

4 wheel disc brakes, VR Commodore front and 300ZX at the rear

Rear Independent sub frame from Nissan 300zx

Steering column and rack and pinion from Nissan bluebird

Electric fuel Pump

Aluminum drop tank

Whats wrong with the car at this stage?

The Twin Su's are not doing the job
The exhaust downpipe has a section that is like 2cm
Needs a new battery
And a list of other small things.

The aim for the car is just a nice Sunday cruiser. Not looking to race or make big power, just something to putt around in and enjoy the twisties.

As you can see the car is sitting on some hideous wheels with low profile tyres which makes for a nice *cough* ride.
So they have to go.

I have purchased a replacement rebuilt carb

and some superlites on nice rubber

Car has also been dropped off at the mechanics to get it all sorted.

Stay tunnned!
