I decided my 600hp turbo v8 auto silvia was a bit of a one trick pony so I got another 1600 :)

Just ordered a maddat fuel tank to start the e85 conversion. Need some more horsepowers before snowy1000 in November.

Once upon a time, I was looking at buying this car when it lived at Cooranbong. I still have the pics of it somewhere!
Good to see you back here Tyrie!

Welcome back Tyrie. What are the specs on the car? And I like the Star Sharks, you should keep those on the car or give them to me!

its a fj20 with gt3076, r200 with 2way and CVs and half decent suspension. I want to improve the suspension a fair bit.

A few little updates. Got some 225 50r15 ET Street Rs and chopped the inner guards out so they fit. Plated with an old Nissan micra bonnet.
Replaced the mx5 bilsteins in the rear with commodore koni yellows. Much less axle tramp now.
And finally my maddat fuel tank with inbuilt Walbro arrived to start the e85 conversion.

Now just needs a wheel alignment before Nulon Nats drags at cootamundra on the 24th and then e85 conversion, tune and Rb gearbox for snowy 1000.

Have you got any pics of the work you had to do to fit the 225's ? I always wanted to put some 225/50/15 mickey thompson et's under the back of my 1600 but thought itd be a very tight fit

Yes Tyrie, stop posting this stuff up on facebook and spend some time with your more loyal fans on this site here!
Are you using an oil cooler on this thing?

I bought a front guard off someone living in Avondale Rd Cooranbong 6 or 7 years ago when starting my latest evolution. Could be some cross pollination going on here!!

Haha it's just so much easier to post on Facebook (hence the demise of forums more generally I guess).

No oil cooler, but I may look into it at some point.

I didn't take many pics of the guard chop job. It certainly wasn't fun! Since finishing it I have had to get under and grind down one spot of weld that was rubbing. All in all though it was worth it to fit 225s with low suspension without A-arm mods.

These two tyres are equally close to the guard. The 185 55r14 is on a 7.5" rim with way more neg offset.
