Apologies if this has been covered before.
The NZ Datsun club has a trailer built from the rear half of a 510. Complete with self contained BBQ, and space for the Club Gazebo etc.

But during it's build, the boot springs were removed. During a hurried working bee to get it ready for our recent nationals, someone refitted them. However it appears as though they need another "turn" putting on them. I've had a look at it, and had a wee go at doing it. BUt they look like a good way to smash your fingers up pretty good.
So what's the trick to doing it with getting your digits all bruised and torn up?

It really needs another turn.
So a long handled screw driver? There aren't any more "perches" to increase the tension slightly.
Otherwise it's a cracking bit of kit.
