Thanks for the details, I had been looking for something similar for a while. I had seen similar units being used by the guys in the US.

Thanks Anth. It's been a long time coming. I had plans of documenting everything really well, but on the odd occasion that I get to spend some time in the garage, I don't think to stop and take photos. I'm loving it though.

Yeah Harry, I can't remember seeing these mirrors on any local cars, but I've seen them on some really cool cars in the states.
I don't think this car will suit everyone.

Coming along nicely Shaun. Bet you are glad to get back on the Datsun wagon again. Just make sure Tones doesn't convince you of quad throttle bodies ;-)

Awesome build mate. What offset are your rims?

Thanks mate. Rims are 17x7 +37.... I think. Fronts are fine, but rears need 20-30mm to fill out the guard.

Wont be so bad once you correct the rear camber.

If you had 17x7 +30 reckon you could spin spring adjusters without hitting the tire/rim?

Yeah I reckon. It's been a while since I've looked at it, but from memory, I don't think it'd hit by any more than 7mm.

Now that I had the car back and the suspension and brakes where basically sorted out (apart from needing to go lower…. Much lower), I thought I’d start getting a new motor sorted.
I bought an S15 that like every other motor ever sold anywhere ever, had “really low Ks”. I think the guy quoted 60k, and it did look relatively clean, but who knows.
For now, I’ve just taken all the bits off, and will clean it up a little before attempting the install.
Don’t worry Nick, no quad throttle bodies!

Parts collected for it so far are:

Greddy Plenum
550 Injectors
E-Boost 2
Z32 AFM
GFB Stealth BOV
Moroso Oil Pan
Jim Berry Clutch
BMW 7 Series Radiator
Stewart Wilkins Surge tank c/w Bosch 044 Fuel Pump

Parts yet to buy:

Intercooler & Piping
180mm front springs
Lower rear springs

If anyone has anything kicking about, let me know.

This is where the car is at now. My “to do” list for the next few weeks is:

Bead blast the rocker cover and give it some new colour
Polish the plenum
Clean the block and give it a general tidy up
Zinc plate some nuts and bolts etc
Zinc plate or paint the fuel rail

Has anyone painted anything in a candy finish at home? I want to paint my rocker cover in a candy red. Not sure if I should give it a go or have someone else do it.

No Updates to speak of. Collected a few more parts, but that's it.
Have to finish cleaning the new engine, then I'll look at putting it in.
I doubt it'll be happening for a few months though I'd say :-(
Seriously looking for some new wheels too. Have been looking for them on and off for a couple of years, but stepping up the search now.
If anyone's keen on the BBS, message me :-)
