After a few months finishing off the Sunny was mod plated today. Passing the Z18 et, 5 speed and Stanza diff and front brakes. A few more weeks to save for the rego and its on the road. I feel a lot better now.

I havent done one for this. The Sunny was purchased with the engine etc fitted and set up for a track car with no exhaust , no trim and a bit unfinished. We have spent the time putting it back to road car status and getting everything working. The wiring was a bit shabby for our purpose with no reverse lights, horn and computer hanging under the dash. The original Sunny brakes were still fitted but the diff had been changed to a Stanza unit. After many years playing with Sunnys i had no idea that Stanza equipment was such an easy fit, you just have to find it.Next up is relocating the gearshift to fit the console as the current position has it leaning more to the passenger side. As we cant drive it around with no rego the engine remains a bit of a mystery. It makes all the right noises associated with a turbo engine and my son loves it. I have only ever had A series engines in the past and this is very new to me. I did a rear main seal , sump gasket, gearbox front seal and now it looks like a rear gearbox seal as well. A lot of time has gone into the car so far and i hope it will go well when registered and Jake gets some fun out of it.

Looks good.
Do the thermostat too, no one ever changes them until they get a blown head gasket, and often the thermostat is the cause.

A few more photos taken this afternoon. Sedan is almost ready with carpet and some interior finishing required. Still has a slight oil leak from rear of engine. I dont think the 2 rubber strips were fitted to the rear main cap correctly. Big job to rectify but is on the to do list. Coupe is a good car. We have had it since 2007 and it sat out in the weather for the 2.5 years we had the GTR. It was the one good thing about selling the R32. Sunny moved back under cover.
