hey guys, new to the forum, first of all ive had alook and this seems to be the only place i can find info and pictures of 200b sx's lol ive known about this car for about 5 years but never bothered to ask the guy if he wanted to sell as he always kept a cover over for the first few years ive known about it and i thought maybe he was saving it for a future project as arnt they lil beautys! anyway about 2 weeks ago i went passed the house and seen it with no cover it and rust starting to apear :( made me very sad especially when i looked inside to see it had only travelled 74,000ks! :( knocked on the door to be answered by the fella who owned it saying he had it since new, after abit of sweet talking i got it for a score and got every receipt untill 1989 with it including original sales docket from bob smith datsun for the sum of $7120, car has been unregoed since 89 and needs alot of work to get running, engine turns over freely tho so am lucky in that aspect, i have faith it will run but i have to strip it down as shell is rust free apart from rust under rh tail light but enigne bay had bad rust around rh strut tower, i plan on building the car from ground up repainting and zinc coating every nut and bolt, to me its worth it as you just never see these cars anymore! interior im lucky with, not rips or tears anyway inside door trims look new seats look new carpet looks new, enough of me rambling on about it lol here are some pics for now before i strip it down :) p.s if anyone can help me with a complete sticker kit that would be fantastic !

That's awesome, I love the second-generation 200B SXs. I still hope to get a blue one one day. Get lots of pictures up!

cheers for the comments, its straight as an arrow but has rust in all doors :( will be repairing every one but as good rust free doors are hard to find so may aswell fix these instead of being lazy trying to find good ones, rh rear qaurter has been replaced in early 80's so has bog lifted over where they had joined into c pillar (you can see surface rust on r/h c-pillar from where i peeled bog off) car will be stripped in next few weeks to be sand blasted as to me these cars are way to rare and with the history i have with this car its not worth scrapping or making a mok-up sx, car will remain standard apart from 5speed twin su's and electronic dizzy,

Nice start. Not to sure with that cowl rust. Save the fence too, no one will steal a 200b

;)

Front bar looks good. Was the car red then painted white.

Nah was in accident in front right side in 80s car is originally white, I'm not to fussed about rust in firewall as I picked up a granny's car yesterday with good firewall that I'm going to unpick and replace the one in the sx as there are no stamped numbers on firewall which make it a little easier to do, just getting all the parts I need before I start stripping it down and start posting repair pics,

yes lol got it cheap! sx is too rare to wreck out, car i got was last regoed 5years ago and only has minor rust in doors, i live in bluemountains nsw and it proberly would of sat there for another 5 years and be no good so its better it gets used to fix my car to keep another sx on the road! If they were in wrecking yards i'd cut the repair sections out i need but no wreckers has them these days so its easier trying to find a complete car for the parts i need.
Cheers Cam
