Hey everyone,

I have been keeping an eye on the Datsun Stanza section of OZDAT for a while now and i'd like to introduce myself.
I'm Roy from the Netherlands. I've bought this Datsun Violet A10 from 1978 not too long ago and i am currently in the process of restoring it.

This is the oldest Datsun Violet in the Netherlands and there are only about 5 or 6 in total remaining in our country.

At least the interior is something to be positive about!

Doors are in very poor condition.

I actually had to cut the front fenders off. The previous owner did some "repair" work to the sills and decided it'd be better to weld them to the front fender.. :tsktsk:

The previous owner also loved to use filler.....

I have decided to go with drilling out the spot welds on the panels that need work so i can properly get to the rust. Time consuming process but i hope it pays off.
After searching for a while i found some oem nos panels.. left front fender. both front door skins and right rear door skin and a brand new trunk. Don't really need the trunk but it came with it.

I have already learned alot from reading various builds on ozdat and i hope to learn even more in the future.

Welcome to Ozdat and good luck with the rebuild! Definitely some 'fun' to be had with rust...

Parts aren't easy to find but i got lucky and i found the doors/front fender at a Datsun collector here in the Netherlands.
I found some more parts but the guy doesn't reply anymore so i doubt i'll be able to buy anything from him.

If i come across a Datsun 160J/Violet badge i'll let you guys know
