Hi All,
I work for Suspension Stuff and am going to make a set of rear Mono Tube shocks for my 1600. Without removing my shocks first I was wondering if anyone has the open and closed lengths of the shocks? may take a while to get the valving right and I have 3 different Piston designs to play with but hopefully should be able to do something better than whats on the market currently thats for sure. This is for a lowered 1600 with high HP (200+) I am hoping to reduce body roll improve ride quality and give maximum traction. As its on a lowered Datsun should I reduce the overall height of the shock or leave it as it is?

Cheers Steve.

Call a spare parts place and ask them to look it up in the back of their Monroe catalog. From memory 1600 & 180B are the same. They may not be in the current catalog but a good place will still have it in an old one.
Stock open length should be fine- there's no need to reduce the suspension droop and unless you're changing the bump stops you won't need shorter shocker bodies.
Cheers!
