Hi guys,
Iam from fiji but live in auck,Nz now and two weeks ago i bought a 1972 datsun 1600 from hamilton
Been garaged for the last 7 years,rego is on road but needs alot of work to get it back on road.

Lots of bits n pices are missing,like rubbers,chrome bits,carpets,badges,needs wiring redone,having problem with steering box,no dashpad,ignition surround,washers nozzles etc

Nice to hear of you again, that you have moved to NZ from Fiji, and bought another Datsun 1600.
I corresponded with you on this forum probably 7 or more years ago. I think you were working on installing SU's on your car in Fiji.

Hope you get the bits you need for this one, and you enjoy it.

Well finally i got the car back on road.its not 100% complete,few bits n pieces are missing.but its feels so good to drive one.
yeah it was me looking for twin su carbs but i found these solex carbs which came of a celica and i made my own inlet manifold.i got the carbs n manifold with me in nz,those were the days i couldnt afford to buy some of the parts from overseas as the exchange rate was so bad.

yes,thats me n my car,i still have it in fiji.
i also had a small article in fast fours mag under small haulers.

I still have my 510 in fiji,its got leaf springs and had L14 eng
