Hi Everyone

I really don't know where to start.

I have been a member of this site for quite a fair few years now. I have also been collecting parts for quite some time.

I was posting my build on another forum but there doesn't seem to be much action at all on there anymore. You guys still post which is good. I have been meaning to put my thread up on here for a while but haven't had the chance to get out and take some photos and list all the items.

This is the shell I purchased in 2009. The plan is to put an S15 SR20DET into it.

NOS wiper blades with arms
NOS wiper arms
NOS interior light
NOS outter door handles (front a rear which are different)

NEW reproduction hood release cable and pull
NEW Niles Fuse Box.
NEW door lock pulls
NEW rear KYB gas shocks
NEW reproduction carpeted kick panels
NEW Speedhut guages

2nd hand I have metal rear air vents. I also have plastic ones, still deciding which ones to use.
2nd hand interior door handles (the ones you move to open the door)
2nd hand headlight mesh x 4
2nd hand GFB Stealth FX Blow Off Valve
2nd hand Datsport clutch master
2nd hand SSS dash (complete from one side of the car to the other)
2nd hand SSS dash facia (which I will look at putting the speedhut guages in, thanks for the idea Trent)

2nd hand PWR intercooler

Baz is also in the process of sending me a radiator kit for the S15 SR20DET.

These are some of the parts to help me through the build. I am sure there are more. Just too much to list.

I then sold my other 1600 last year (2013) and moved this shell into a secure garage.

Recently I found some time to start stripping the car more and this is almost how it sits now (it is a bit dirty in places still)

I am sure I will be asking lots of questions as I go, I have never built a car before but I am really keen to build this 1600.

The is pretty good rust wise I think.

Here are the main parts I can find. Looks like someone previous has attempted to cover up or fix some of the rust.

I don't know how to fix these but I am going to attempt to learn. I am going to get a mig welder soon and someone down the road does welding for a living so I am hoping to get a lesson or 2 from him.

If you want photos of all the parts I have I can put them up but it takes ages when I can only put 6 images per post. I want to put the images on the OZDAT server because when I am at work sometimes I cannot view photos that are uploaded to photobucket. It annoys me. Maybe if there is a part I listed you want to see a picture of then reply and I will post it up.

Today I removed the battery tray, washer bottle mount and the brake thing on the firewall drain. I wasnt aware that there was a spot weld drill bit. I was drilling holes into the spot welds and some went through so I will need to attempt to fix those holes with the mig welder when I get one.

Got a spot weld drill bit yesterday.

Took the firewall drain off to make sure there was no rust under there and there isn't which is good. I then took the front apron off and marked out the battery tray mod like Mark has here in his video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWWz4LQE1cs. I will cut this out this afternoon. I dont have a Mig Welder yet. I think I will have to fork out for the Cigweld 175i maybe in the coming weeks. Then I can learn how to weld and then attempt to weld things up. I will also be seem welding this car aswell so alot of learning is ahead of me.

When my radiator kit comes I can see how it fits and then cut the hole for the intercooler.
