If thats the real factory blue awesome otherwise still awesome great score!

I would just clean her up, blacken the window frames, tint windows, detail engine bits
with clean and paint, some protector strips all round, 180b SSS 13 inch steelies and enjoy!

I believe that is the factory blue, although old mate before did a few touch up it seems, bog in all the doors etc, boot is rusted as hell too.

Definitely engine detail, as you'll can see she's got a bit of cancer going on. Fix all rust. New paint (maybe possibly see what happens)

Practically want to get it roadworthy to be a daily. I'm pretty impressed. Seems to be a one owner vehicle. (now 2 of course :P )

Depends what your plans & budget are, but it has a lot of potential!

Give it a good wash/clean/polish/vacuum, wipe down and clean all the interior, cheaply remove/repaint/replace worn items in the engine bay, paint the front edge of the engine bay black (attached pic of my old one - neatens it up a lot). Shouldn't have too much trouble replacing any worn/broken interior bits for a few bucks here and there, there are enough 120Ys out there.

That's all cheap or near enough to free stuff.

If you are intending to keep the car, I'd put ANY money you are spending straight into the rust repairs on the body itself. Rust only gets worse so the earlier you fix it the cheaper it is. And if you leave it too long it basically becomes unfixable.

And then just source some non-rusty panels for it. The shell is the only thing you are 'stuck' with so take care of it.

Also my most important piece of advice is - do everything the right way. Not only will the result be better, but it means you won't have to redo things or get frustrated later. Takes twice as long to do a job poorly, it just doesn't seem like it at the time!

So for example, if you're painting that section at the front of the engine bay then take off the grille, headlights, etc, remove the bonnet catch, mask and sand it all back properly, rust converter, highfill, prime, paint.

I know to tell people to do things properly, because this is my weakest point!!!

I can't help the removing of the bog as it's lifting and very very noticeable so it needs to be done ASAP.

Rust converting all rust after loose bits are removed.
Cutting out the rust holes ,replacing with new sheet of metal and bog if needed.

*Cutting out rust, converting surface/holes with rust converter, bogging, high fill, prime, paint

i like the look in the picture, very clean! :applause: :hail: :)
