Vg's in 510 are fairly common in the USA,NA they claim 195HP not sure if it is at the wheels or flywheel

I read somewhere the vg30e was making 340-360hp in NA race tune in Japan???
I know the twin cam head has more potential NA but the compactness of the "e"
is just hard to ignore they are so tiny in a medium sized engine bay.
Not long ago saw a 180sx with a boosted "e" and it looked like a packed lunch box!

Take that 300zx

a more comfortable and lighter car than originally intended just awesome
As much as I love straight 6 engines with boost this thing looks even better
Im sure the vg30e is lighter than the L28?

It's not much heavier than a L20b... something like about 20kg heavier. That is without a/c and power steering and with a 5-speed. It would be about the weight of an SR20DET

It's so compact and the weight is low and relatively rearward. Mine could have been mounted farther back if i were to leave it NA but i've left room for the turbo manifold to wrap behind.

Bro i dunno what your problem with the ECOTEC is. They pull plenty hard and are well sized and weighted. some people want to do something different to you. Dont make us Bogans mate.

the ECOTEC in my VP Lexen pulls plenty hard even after a tough life as a daily its still bullet proof. When me 200b is done il give you a drag see how she pulls

Those of you that have a copy of the 2006 Datnats DVD will see a black VG30DET Datsun 1600 also an interview with the guy who built the car.

Edit: couldn't remember if it was the 2005 or 2006 DVD.. just checked at its definitely on the 2006 one.

don't even get me started on people who put commodore motors in Dattos.

those hideous engines sound terrible, look awful and are to blame for a whole generation thinking a V6 in a commodore boat is actually a fast car.

I dont no whats wrong with u boys commo v6s are goodas. Theres a reason they put em in commos for so long and thats cos theyre tuff as. They sound ok I chopped me rear muffler off n it sounds good as. Theyre cheap n go hard and they fit well into a datto thats y im putting one in mine. So lay off the bogan sh*t bro.

And for the guy who wants to do peggaz go nuts mate my vp has a minispool so ill cut hoops round u tryin to fry one.
